Just a quick update for those who aren’t on the forum or have not been at the track this spring: the rain over the last few weeks has significantly delayed our track redesign efforts. As of today, we only have about half the dirt moving work completed so it will take a few work parties to complete the layout. I can safely say that the track will not be complete for the 1st scheduled race this weekend. We will instead be taking advantage of the first nice dry weather to get some work done. Stop by to take a look or volunteer some time if you are free; join and watch the forum for work party announcements. I expect that we will have some open practice sessions on the May long weekend.

I uploaded the 2012 Membership forms to the website. Just click on the ‘Membership Info’ tab above. You can print it off and fill it in before coming to the track. If you don’t, no worries, we’ll always have copies available for you at the track.

Highlights  include:

• New Novice Classes for youth under 16 racing Short Course Trucks.
• 2012 Point Series may have up to 9 races (weather pending).
• Each race day will consist of 3 main races instead of 3 IFMAR style qualifiers and one main race.
• Points earned for each race day will be based on best 2 of 3 finishes.  Bonus still earned for fastest lap of the day.
• Practice on non-race weeks will be Thursday night and Sunday afternoon.  Practice on race weeks will be Tuesday night while Thursday night will be reserved for track maintenance.
• No changes to vehicle class rules.
